The Academy

Protecting and Preparing the Next Generation.

This world is broken. You know it. I know it.

Let's be honest: the culture is actively fighting against the values you are trying to build in your home. You shouldn't have to spend your evenings deprogramming your kids from what they absorb out in the world all day.

But we also know the reality: You are working. You have to provide. You can't just quit your job and build a homeschool curriculum from scratch at your kitchen table.

That is why we built The Academy. We refuse to surrender the next generation. And we refuse to let you fight this battle alone.

Structured Homeschool Support, Kingdom Worldview

Covenant Academy is a private homeschool resource center designed to support parents in their homeschooling journey. It is a highly structured, 4-day-a-week educational support environment. We are not a school and are not accredited; we partner directly with parents to ensure students master their studies in a safe, focused environment.

We brought in Head Teacher Kelly Jenkins, a 30-year veteran of the classroom, to lead our educational program. She knows exactly how to build elite-level academic structure, but she does it in an environment that puts Jesus at the center. We've replaced the cultural noise with a focused, Christ-centered sanctuary where your kids can thrive.

Our Standards

What We Stand For

No sugar-coated truths or watered-down standards. We teach the Bible plainly, hold the line on character, and build real disciples.

Absolute Truth

Truth is not relative. We anchor every lesson in the unshakeable standard of God's Word. Your kids will learn who they are in Christ, standing firm against whatever ideas the shifting culture tries to feed them.

Respect & Honor

We teach respect for authority, clean language, and honor for God and country. We hold students to high behavioral standards to ensure a focused, peaceful, and respectful classroom.

Blue-Collar Work Ethic

We don't coddle laziness. We teach that hard work is a spiritual discipline. Our structure builds focus, grit, and the self-discipline they will need to execute their God-given mission.

Stewardship & Family

We do not replace the parents. You are the primary spiritual leader of your home. We operate as a trusted partner, supporting your values and taking the stress of daily bookwork off your shoulders.

Our Focus

Spirit, Soul, and Body Development

We use a creative approach to instruction paired with Christ-centered development to ensure each child grows in both faith and education.

Morning Chapel & Bible

Every day starts with a fun, engaging Chapel session with Pastor Jeremy. Students build character, learn memory verses, and develop a real, personal faith in an encouraging environment.

1-on-1 Academic Support

With small groups, teachers Kelly Jenkins and Jessica Cantrell tailor lessons to where your child excels or needs help. Incoming students are tested to place them at their exact learning level.

Practical Life Skills

Beyond bookwork, we prioritize the skills they need to be who God called them to be: proper etiquette, leadership, health & fitness, arts & music, and root-level personal accountability.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct answers to the most common questions from local families.

Is Covenant Academy accredited?

No. Covenant Academy is a private homeschool resource center providing structured support to parents. Under Missouri state law, parents remain the primary educators, and we provide the daily instruction, curriculum guidance, and classroom environment.

How do we handle academic placement?

We don't place students strictly by age. Head Teacher Kelly Jenkins tests all incoming students prior to their start date to determine their exact reading and math levels, ensuring they are placed where they can actually master the content.

What curriculum is used?

We use the K-8th core curriculum from The Good and the Beautiful for Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Parents purchase the corresponding books for their child's determined level before the school year begins.

What is the policy for tuition payments?

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month (September through May). A $20 late fee is added for late payments. If tuition is unpaid by the end of the first week of the month, the student cannot attend until it's settled. Overdue payments past 30 days result in unenrollment.

What happens if we need to unenroll?

We require a minimum of two weeks' notice sent via email to Nina Bedell. Tuition will not be adjusted or refunded without this notice.
