About Covenant Church

Real people loving Jesus in Van Buren, MO — a welcoming community for everyone to belong and grow in faith.

This video captures what drives us — come see for yourself.

Our Story

Covenant Church began in 2020 when Jeremy and Nina Bedell moved their family to Van Buren, Missouri, after years on staff at Guts Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They came with a passion for the local church and a vision to build something authentic and life-giving with the people of Southeast Missouri.

After three years of prayer, relationship-building, and gathering a core group, the church launched publicly in 2023. Today, Covenant is a thriving non-denominational fellowship meeting every Sunday at The Landing — a place where faith is real, teaching is biblical, and community is genuine.

Our Mission

Spreading Jesus’ love through biblical teaching, heartfelt worship, and real community.

Biblical Teaching

Straight from Scripture. Relevant. Life-changing. No fluff — just truth that helps you live it out.

Heartfelt Worship

Authentic and Spirit-led. We sing because we've been changed — loud, joyful, and real.

Real Community

No one sits alone. We do life together — through the highs, lows, and everything in between.

Meet Pastor Jeremy & Nina Bedell

Pastor Jeremy, Nina, and their three kids

Jeremy and Nina Bedell, together with their three children, moved to Van Buren in 2020 after years serving on staff at Guts Church in Tulsa. Passionate about the local church, they came ready to invest their experience and heart into building a community that celebrates God's greatness and helps people live victorious, fulfilled lives.

Jeremy leads with humility and a commitment to biblical teaching that speaks to real life. Nina brings warmth and care, especially to families and women. Together with their children, they live out what they preach — loving God and loving people in everyday life.

What We Believe

  • The Bible is God’s perfect Word — fully applicable in every situation and our final authority for life and success
  • Salvation is a free gift through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord — not earned by works
  • God’s will for believers is to live whole and successful in every area: spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to believers, with speaking in tongues as evidence
  • We are called to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves
  • There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
